Membership

FWA-UK is always looking for members to help support our community projects as best we can. If you want to get involved or find out more about how you can help, then please get in touch with us.

  1. Application for membership must be made to the Membership Committee who will determine whether the qualifying conditions are fulfilled.
  2. Membership is open to all female persons with Filipino Heritage who are 18 years of age at the time of application for membership.
  3. To qualify for membership, the individual must demonstrate a belief in, and support the objectives of the Association.
  4. The executive Board shall keep a register of names and addresses of the members which may be made available to any member upon request and in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Membership is not transferable.

Termination of Membership

Membership is terminated if:

  1. The member dies or if the FWA-UK ceases to exist
  2. The member resigns by written notice to the FWA-UK unless, after the resignation¸ there would be less than two members
  3. Any sum due from the members to the FWA-UK is not paid in full within 6 months of its falling due
  4. The member is removed from membership by a resolution of the trustees that it is the best interests of the FWA-UK that her membership is terminated*. A resolution to remove a member from membership can only be passed if:
    1. The member has been given at least twenty one days’ notice in writing of the meeting of the trustees at which the resolution will be proposed and the reasons why it is to be proposed;
    2. The member or, at the option of the member, the member’s representative (who need not be a member of the FWA-UK) has been allowed to make representations to the meeting.
    3. Any acts or conduct contrary to the interest of the Association shall be considered as grounds for disciplinary action that may either result in a member’s suspension from the exercise of her rights and privileges in the Association, or termination of membership in accordance with Association’s agreed disciplinary procedure.

Membership Fee

£30.00 for Two Years

    • Touch Spa Offering 15% discount on cash basis
    • Yumenoki Japanese Restaurant: Offering 10% discount of the total food bill
    • Romulo Café & Restaurant:  Offering 10% discount of the total food bill
